I sold my Honda City last year itself and now when I see Elevate. They do not have the Engine (Oh, how I wish for the glory days, of Honda past), the Design or the Features to pull in the automotive enthusiast. They are no longer making aspirational cars, their current line up is filled with vehicles that are just "Meh!". IMHO, Honda seems to have lost the plot completely. It is a car for people who just need 4 wheels (this is just my personal opinion.the desirability of a car as always, is in the eyes of the beholder). What makes it worse, was that the noise is just noise!, its neither a pleasant nor encouraging sound. The engine was very audible inside post 2,800RPM. A little better than my Jazz (believe me, that is not a compliment, the Jazz has no power to speak off). The power felt just adequate, not bad, just adequate. The cameras, rear and lane change are exceptional in their quality. The outer edges of the bonnet stand out and it feels like the bonnet stretches out for a imposing distance. The view from the drivers seat is superb, one feels like one is driving a big SUV. The boot is a good size, comparable to others in the segment. The rear seats disappointed in their width, as many others have pointed out, however leg room is good (simply because the travel of the front seats is quite limited). The seats aren't broad in comparison to the Jazz (Front). While the feature set is acceptable to me, one couldn't call it 'Loaded'. Not exciting, just "Not Offensive" (that is best way to describe the design). The elevate looks better in the metal (in the photos, that front end always looked weird). I test drove the Elevate today with a view to replacing my Jazz (petrol). You can do single layer door damping & better quality speakers, amp & tweeters for 40K. Leatherette seats & leatherette doorpads (like in ZX) can be done from a good accessories shop for some 20K and add diamond cut alloys for 45k. Hi RedMaw - I have seen all the models of Elevate and felt VCVT is better to buy than VX CVT. So what are the chances of adding Cruise control as a accessory? I dont know whether to spend addition additional 1.75L for 4 more airbags & ACC and live without proper thigh support Or take the lower version, miss on the airbags but upgrade the interior for better seating. I can upgrade the interior with better leatherette seats and touch pads for 35K and provide better under thigh support and remove the central bump in rear. I can live without ADAS, Auto dimming mirror, rear center armrest and smaller screen. The things I will be really missing is Cruise Control, 10.25 screen and 6 Airbags. But I am now in two minds to take VX CVT (18L On-road) and modify it. I have a booking for ZX CVT (19.75L On-Road).
